Italy Visa Travel Insurance

Depending on your citizenship you may require to apply for a visa. There can be several factors and documents to support your visa application. When visiting Italy to have permission of entry nationals requiring visa must also present original supporting documents presented before embassy of Italy or consulate at the time of visa application process. It must be noted that according to ministry of foreign affairs Italy “ To enter, sojourn in or transit throughout the Schengen area, aliens must be in possession of a passport or other travel document recognized as valid for the purposes of crossing all Schengen States borders. ” This means, one must carry two sets, original and photocopy, of documents presented along with application form to consulate at the time of visa process along with them while transiting through Schengen area for check.

Required Documents :

• Passport and travel documents:  Visa applicant must be sure that the passport has a validity of three months after the date of return accompanied by maximum of 3 recent photographs.
• General application form: Duly filled must be in writing, providing complete detailing required on the form and signed by the applicant. Download General application form from our visa page.
• Documents of Proof: Applicant must submit applications accompanied by a valid travel document Purpose of visit, means of transport and return, accommodation arrangements to authorities convincing that you are visiting for a short stay.
• Proof of Submission: Submission of document and application the embassy will generate a receipt for the visa fee which is a proof of your application submission.
• Visa Process: After visa application submission the applicants and are considered for approval or refusal. The complete process may take 2 or three weeks so submission of applications must be done weeks prior to your tour.
  
  

  Some documents other than above mentioned list may be asked for detailed study of your application. Documents required according to list must be submitted along with application to be sure that your visa application is considered effectively.

Schengen Travel Insurance :

Applying for Schengen Visa for Italy it is mandatory for citizens of country applying for visa to have Schengen travel insurance. Schengen travel insurance will cover for cost of medical expenses and repatriation to your country of residence. The medical expenses cover for hospitalization and emergency assistance set out by authorities for a particular sum assured.

Please note The applications for visa for Italy must be reached to embassy 4 weeks prior to the visit. Interview with consulate or embassy in their country must be scheduled to get visa. Application or appointment with consulate does not guarantee visa requirements must be fulfilled before submitting the application.
